Founded in 1947 by Paul and Myrtle Fay Hayes. Their business, originally a service station, has evolved through the years to become the largest RV retailer in East Texas.

Interest in the outdoors lead the Hayes to add hunting and fishing supply sales, and rentals of tents, camp stoves and camping trailers in the 50's. The camping trailers proved to be quite popular and Hayes began to sell folding and travel trailers as a sideline.
