River Ridge Campground & Fishing Area is located on Northeast Tennessee's Watauga River with most of the 30 campsites within a few feet of the water. Amenities include a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post at each sit. A regulation-size Volleyball court and horseshoe pits are available to camping guests. The "Otter's Trail", a river-side footpath, offers guests spectacular views of the river as well as benches along the way for resting.A well-lighted bathhouse with hot showers is centerally located to all campsites. The bathhouse is heated to accommodate cold-weather campers and year-round anglers.This section of the Watauga River is one of only 3 "Trophy Trout Sections" within the state. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency's Rules and Regulations are posted and enforced within the campground property. Reservations are not required but highly recommended. |
