History, serenity, and scenic beauty await you at Mill Creek. The park features 20 Big Rig Friendly Pull Thrus in the RV area. Tent camping is allowed in a separate area. Enjoy shuffleboard, horseshoes, or nature walks along our rock bottom creek. There are a large number of native wildflowers in the woods and open fields. You'll find several varieties blooming thoughout the growing season. (Mid March - October). Mill Creek Park is located next to an historic railroad (now a walking trail) which saw battle action during the Civil War. There are several antique stores in the area. The Space and Rocket Center is just 45 minutes away. Altho remote, Mill Creek Park is centerally located for access to most of the attractions in North Alabama. All of the sites have fire rings and picnic tables. Fire wood is free as long as you gather it yourself. The camp store has a laundry, courtesy phone, and front porch for making new friends.
