Carlton Flat Campground on the Yuba River

    This campground is one of six in a short distance along HWY 49 and the Yuba River. It is squeezed between the highway and the river, so you do get some road noise, although there is very little traffic at night. This particular campground has some nice sites right on the water.

    I forgot to mention that the spaces and road are kind of tight. If you have a large rig or trailer, Cal-Ida or Indian Valley would be better choices.

    I've been there too. Love that country with all the granite rock and rivers. Spent quite a bit of time at the nearby Thousand Trails Park at Yuba Gap too.
