This campground is in Humboldt Touyabe National Forest and not really close to anything. So we were surprised to find it to easily be the nicest forest service campground we have visited. Each site has a leveled area with a table, firepit, stand for a camp stove, and leveled tent site. The bathrooms were newer vault toilets that were clean and did not smell.

Next to the campground is an old crystal mine. The crystals were used for two-way radios during WWII. You can dig through the tailings and find crystals, though we found some just walking around. A forest service sign says you are limited to a five gallon bucket a week in what you can take.

There are a lot of Aspen trees in the campground that should have nice color in the fall.
