Smokemont Campground (Great Smoky Mountains National Park)

Nice NPS campground. Plenty of RVs and Tents co-existing.
  • Stayed here in Summer 2012. Heavily shaded with a great canopy of trees. Bradley Fork River runs right through the campground. Beautiful clear mountain stream. Close to services in the nearby town of Cherokee. Loop F seems to have the best waterfront campsites and probably less traffic. Onsite horseback riding stables offered a simple diversion, as well as nearby rafting on a variety of rivers. My only negative comment: no showers, which is true for all of the NPS campgrounds in the GSMNP. Reservations are accepted through the regular NPS reservation system.
