Rocky Rest Campground

Rocky Rest Campground
  • Zin Fan March 2012
This campground is one of six in a short distance along HWY 49 and the Yuba River. It is near the highway so you do get some road noise, although there is very little traffic at night. This particular campground has a few sites with water views. There is a foot bridge that crosses the river here giving access to the Yuba Trail, a seven mile trail through very heavily forested areas. The spaces can be difficult to access so those with bigger rigs may prefer Cal-Ida or Indian Valley campgrounds. Although technically seasonal, this campground is not gated and can be used year round, but the water is turned off in winter.
