I stayed here in early Feb and I was just one of three campers in the whole place. The campground is ringed with intricate canyon walls and the valley is full of Joshua trees. Very nice! This is one of the few campgrounds I have been too with open-air outhouses (no roofs). Expensive like all California state parks at $25 but still a nice place to spend some time.
