This is the closest BLM campground to Moab and is near the terminus of the Porcupine Rim trail. A couple miles downstream there is a fresh water spring coming right out of the wall of the canyon which is a popular watering hole. This campground has been a favorite of mountain bikers for the last couple decades. I am somewhat disappointed that in the last few years the BLM completely leveled what was a unique tent campground with a lot of privacy and turned it into yet another camp for big RV's. All in the name of progress I suppose, and still a good place to camp.
