I have camped with Family and friends at Kohler Andre for years. It is one of the most beautiful and most carefully kept of Wisconsin's state parks. Most sites are lightly wooded or grassy (for tents) with some privacy - though there are some sites out in the open or grouped for multiple family units camping together. The facilities are newer and kept clean and well stocked. The beaches are clean - even the wonderful DOG BEACH. They have a great nature center for kids - right on the beach - everything north of the nature center is dog beach, everything south of it is 'people' beach. The campground is full of mostly families; the most disruption might be an occasional happy bark or kids on bicycles - most camper are very resprectful of other's quiet time and privacy. Park staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful.

It's one drawback is that it is so popular and nice a park, that you have to reserve months ahead to get in - but well worth the wait.

It IS annoying to me that when we have camped there - many sites were empty, because people didn't show for their reservations, and didn't bother to call and cancel - opening the sites to others who might enjoy them. PLEASE be courteous and cancel your reservations if you can't make it so someone else can enjoy the site!
