I spent many summers here with my parents as a child. Having visited again recently, it isn't like being completely in the wild, which is generally my preference, but MacKerricher has great tide pools, lots of flat loops for kids to ride their bikes safely on. The walk to Ft. Bragg along the coastal trail is delightful. Plenty of colorful birds, tide pools and fur seals out on the rocks.
