We stayed here in June 2011. It is heavily forested with oak trees with some evergreens mixed in giving the spaces lots of shade. A creek flows behind some of the sites. Sites are spaced well giving some privacy between spaces. It is set back a ways from the highway so you don't hear the road noise. Smaller rigs or tents are best as the road is narrow and the spaces a bit short for large rvs or trailers.
Of course this could be a place to stay when visiting the local wineries. $35 a night is a bargain compared to Napa Valley hotel prices. But there are other things to do here. There are a couple of hiking trails. One goes through a small old cemetary and to the old Bale Mill. The other goes back into the hills to a fantastic old growth redwood grove. It is hard to believe you are so close to the crowded Napa Valley. Overall a nice place.
