The positive aspects of this campground are that it is in a very senic location, is very wooded, and the campground has a beautiful lake and alot of land.

    The negatives of this campground:
As you enter the campground you see a sign saying that "DOGS MUST REMAIN ON CAMPSITE". You are not allowed to take your dog off your site at any time for a walk. We were not told about this rule when we made the reservation, nor did we see it on their website. I asked if we could walk them along the public road and was told I could take them to a park elsewhere to walk them.

If you want to fish, you pay for the privilege to fish, then if you catch a fish you pay another fee for the fish. You must pay for any size fish you catch. They don't allow you to throw back undersize fish.

There is a rule that you must turn off your strings of lights at 11:00 PM. They patrol the campground at 11:00 pm and if your lights are still on they walk up to your RV and pull out the plug. Meanwhile, they allow seasonals to burn decorative lighting all night. They also don't ask the seasonal campers next door to quite down and observe the quite hours.

Needless to say, we won't be back to Evergreen Lake. Our dogs are a part of our family. We enjoy walking around the campground with the dogs, not having them under house arrest.
