We spent a weekend here in early March, 2011. There was still a couple of feet of snow on the ground making it a popular spot for snow shoing and cross country skiing with day users. Only 10 sites were open for winter use. Heated bathrooms, hot water, and free showers are really nice to have when winter camping. Ice skating is no longer allowed on the pond. Overall a nice spot. The only negative is it is only one half mile from Highway 395 so you do get the road noise.
