All three of the Pines campgrounds are in the same area of the Yosemite Valley floor. This campground is next to a large meadow and set against the Merced River. The sites on the water's edge are the most popular and need to be reserved far in advance. Curry Village, which has a general store, sporting equipment store, bike rentals, hot food, and showers, is only a short walk from here. The stables are just across the river and can lead to some smells on warm summer days.
