The kids had a great time fishing and crabbing, the newer pool was nice however the obviously older pool needed cleaning the whole time we were there and needed work. The staff was NOT the friendlest either. Bathrooms were acceptable. We had a tent site near a pond which got buggy at night but tent sites were nice though just not many trees and out in the open. Overall good trip, liked the fact that it was gated and felt safe.

This park is not a place to live, So many problems and the landlord has no desire to care about the residents. Rv's are placed by the permanent residents that owm homes. In the winter months snowbirds are noisy all night and day, while homeowners have no peace. Old homes that are run down have no been sold to the Canadians to live in for six months of the year. The rent keeps going up and there is no repairs. Pool is always dirty, Garbage cans overflowed with garbage. Major drug problems & thief. No secuity,

We almost did not stay here due to a couple bad reviews we read on the internet. Now I have to say that I am suspicious of any negative feedback being true! The manager, Karen, went out of her way to be helpful. She was very friendly, professional and cheerful. The campground is set in beautiful mature pines, the sites are large and you have space in between to where you feel like you are out in the wilderness. The roads and sites are not paved, but are kept very neat and clean. The restrooms, showers and laundry room are older but were all very clean and well kept. We are full time RV'ers, and have stayed in MANY RV Parks. This one truly has one of the more relaxed atmospheres, and is very well managed.

We stayed 1 night, sites are too close together and you feel cramped in. This park seems to cater more to single wide mobile homes rather than to campers/RV'ers. I-17 is right next to the campground, so you get all the vehicle noise all day and night. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. They do have a store which was handy. We ended up going into Flagstaff and finding another Park where we stayed for a week.

Eisenhower SP is the first campground that we EVER stayed at as a family and I will always have fond memories of it. The sites are very clean and so are the bathhouses minus a couple of daddy long legs My only concerns are the cliffs if you have smallish children and the number of steps there are to get down to the swimming area. If you have a disability those steps could be a slight problem.

Walmart, grocery stores and restaurants are within a close range for the items you might have left at home or just did not want to bring. If I can remember right, I think there is a camp store that you can rent water craft to get out and see the huge lake. A bunch of fishermen come here to set up a base camp so the grounds are normally very quite.

If you are new to camping and near the DFW or OK lines I would highly recommend Eishenhower.

This campground was a total disapointment- it was absolutely disgusting! We wer promised water hookup and did not get. The picnic table was in peices with part of it laying on the ground where my kids were playing with 3inch rusted nails sticking out of it. The site are so small that our awning was not have been able to be pulled out, not to mention the fire pit is so close to the camper (because of the size of each lot) that a fire is near impossible!! It was disgusting and unsafe for my children to play. What a waste of money- eneded up leaving the campground because of the conditions. - and by the way, the bathrooms are covered in blackmold and you have to pay to use them!

This review is from Mike and Beverly Amacker from Carriere MS. We just returned from a great camping trip at Cochrane Campground Al. We go this campsite twice a year and we love it! We were extremely glad to see the bank sites cleared of brush and briars at site 36 where we stayed. I love to fish off the bank and normally have to walk down by 39 or 40 to do this if we cannot stay on one these sites. I was very pleased (I also caught 10 catfish there on Monday with my rod and reel) I noticed several other campers taking advantage of this new opportunity. I do hope they keep it mowed and cleaned for the benefit of all campers. It was so much fun. Thank-you so much Beverly

I have not actually stayed at the campground. My problem is with the owner. When trying to cancel a reservation due to the recent oil spill, the owner would not return calls I made regarding the need to cancel. When I did reach the owner after several calls she was very rude, refused to refund the whole amount, and hung up the phone. I can only wonder what the customer service would be like if staying at the campground.

I have camped at the oaks many times. I now have an annual site. The Oaks Campground is an excellent place to camp year around. Right in the middle of a Bird Sanctuary. A fishing Pond and a swimming pond. ATV trails for the annual campers. Deer and wildlife through out the area. A beautiful area in the woods. Shaded lots and sunny lots, your choice. Not far from some Shopping centers on those rainy days.

Unlike Cathedral Valley CG which is pretty far off the beaten path and somewhat spacious, Cedar Mesa is both more easily accessible and much more compact. Plan on this campground likely being full or crowded. Scout it out first if you are pulling a trailer as opportunities to turn around are non-existent once you are in the campground.

We have been camping here for years. It's one of the cleanest parks around with great walking and biking paths. The roads are paved. The camp sites are level and most of them are drive through spots which I love since I am a really bad backer! My kids love the beach, play sand volleyball, and have enjoyed the concession stands hot food. Great place! I often camp there alone with my kids since I am off summers as a teacher. I always feel very safe there. There is also a campground host on the property if you have any concerns.

This campground is nice and clean and family friendly. However, they have a no refund policy and require a 50% deposit- even if you give adequate notice or for extenuating circumstances like a death in the family. So if you are going to camp, be prepared to forfit your deposit if for some reason you are unable to go.

In My 30 years of camping, First with my Dad and Mom and now with my children. I have never come across a campground like this! Yes I have had some bad ones and even miserable but NOTHING like this. PLEASE! Stay away from this place it is only second to a Prison Camp. No fun or good family times or memories had at this Jail... They want you to bring your Wallet Not your children.. and don't think of having some friends drop by to say hi because they will be charged 6.00 per adult and 5.00 per children just to go inside and say hi. our friends just wanted to say they could not afford the 35.oo to come and say hi>> NOPE they would not let them in and oh did I mention you have NO cell signal to call them! yea, I think they might also try to lock your children in their basement so they can keep it quiet!! This place is a geriatric Heaven or a pre-old folks home not a fun and friendly family campground... they have a pool and volley courts and playground, the problem is you wont see anyone young enough to use them, YOU Have Been Warned Our Bad review is not the first!!! Run away!!! Brevard has to much to offer to waste it here.......

We have a yearly site at Cape Woods. All of the yearly campers are very nice and helpful. This was our first full year and we won't move anywhere else. The rates are very reasonable. If you are looking for loud parties then go somewhere else. At dark all is quiet at cape woods. Everyone has respect for other campers. This is probably the cleanest and most well kept campground on the island. This campground is all about FAMILY.

We camp a lot, and we camp in tents so we are pretty basic. We have two teenage sons that camp with us. We Love Camping and Campgrounds. One of the reasons we do camp is because we find the Rangers and/or campground owners/staff so knowlegable and helpful with information and recommendations of the area.

This was not the case at Fisherman's. We camped there this past weekend - June 2010. When we checked in, the woman behind the desk was less then welcoming. She barely looked away from the computer she was on to speak with us. She offered no campground map and did not provide any directions to our site. I had to ask for both and she was completely annoyed that she had to assist.

The Rangers/staff did not make rounds after "quiet time" and probably only because of that, we had a couple in the site next to us that was playing very loud music and having a huge fight with each other, lots of yelling, slamming of doors and swearing - not a good site to be next to - but worse that there was no one that monitored the campground after dark. This is not an experience that we have ever had camping before.

The Tent sites are private, most surrounded by trees on at least a couple of sides, some are very small. The location of the campground is very central, close to all Narragansett beaches (you do have to drive) and about a 20 minute scenic drive up 1A and over 138 into Newport. The price is reasonable for sites with no electricity/water, non residents, that is what we had.

We LOVE Sebago Lake State Park Campground. The sites sit under towering pines each having their own firepit, and the campground is lakeside. Sandy Beach, crystal clear water, playground, sand volleyball and horseshoes right by the water. The bathrooms are spectacular and the hot showers are FREE! The park has a park ranger stationed at the check in desk and camp hosts that will help you with any questions you have and make recommendations as to what is around. The kids love it here, riding their bikes around the campground or riding them up to the 'candy store' for a treat. There is an outdoor ampitheatre that plays movies on Wednesday and Saturday nights for the family. This is a great family vacation spot.

For a USFS campground, this is very nice. It has both power and non power sites (50 amp). There are no sewer dump stations however. Water is available at the check in gate and various hydrants located throughout the campground. It is located along the banks of the Madison River. Yellowstone National Park boundry is a few feet away. All vehicle roads are paved. Fire pits with cooking grates are located at every site. There are tight restricitions on food storage due to bears. The campground has several hosts that look after the c/g. The water is very good. West Yellowstone is just a few miles south as well as the West Gate to Yellowstone NP. There are "resorts" RV Parks in West Yellowstone (e.g Grizzly) if roughing it is not your cup of tea, but for the money, Bakers Hole C/G is our favorite.
