Number of Sites:
This rustic campground has outhouses, tables, fire rings, and water from a communal faucet; however it does not have garbage cans. Please only use these facilities that are provided, do not make additional fire rings, tent pads or cat holes. The 5 sites were designed for tents, but two sites have a parking spur longer than 21 feet suitable for an RV. Camping at Baker Lake is free of charge; sites are available on a first come, first served basis.
Please remember to leave your campsite cleaner than you found it, pack out all your waste. Baker Lake is mostly within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. When paddling the majority of this lake, you’ll need a BWCAW entry permit. Permits are always required while traveling in the BWCAW. Self issued day use permits are available at the canoe landing. Motor powered watercraft are not permitted within the BWCAW.
From Highway 61 take a left at Cook County 2 or the Sawbill trail, turn right on Forest Road 170, turn left on Forest Road 1272 to Baker Lake.
