About: This campground is the most popular of all campgrounds on the forest so plan ahead to stay here during the peak summer season. The campground is located along the shores of Upper Payette Lake. The resort town is McCall is 19 miles south of the camgground. Summers are typically warm days and cool nights. A 1 mile paved universally accessible trail is located within 1/2 mile of the campground. The campground itself offers several paved paths along the lakeshore. Toilets at the campground are universally accessible. First come first serve sites available. Upper Payette Lake is a no wake lake. Lake is drawn down on September 1 annually and it may be difficult to launch a boat after that date. No hook-ups.

Directions: The campground is located on the west shore of Upper Payette Lake, 19 miles north of McCall, Idaho. To get there take Highway 55 north out of town and turn right when you get to Warren Wagon Road – Highway 21. Travel north on this paved two lane Highway for 18 miles and turn off on gravel road 495. The campground is located approximately 1 mile up road 495.
