About: Rattlesnake Campground is one of 5 campgrounds that lie along the Middle Fork of the Payette River, north of Garden Valley. All units have tables, grills and fire pits. The campground has 2 handicap accessible camping units and a 20′ x 44′ Pavillion.The area was covered by old growth Douglas-fir and ponderosa pine, but a large windstorm in 1988 took out most of the large old growth trees. The campground was reconstructed during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. This campground has 11 units. Two vault toilets are located within the campground, one of which is handicap accessible.

Directions: Rattlesnake Campground is located in southwestern Idaho, 14 miles north of Garden Valley. Take National Forest Road 698 (NF-698) north from Garden Valley. Watch for recreation signs.
