About: Located one mile north of Payson, Arizona. Restrooms and showers are provided. There is a fourteen day stay limit within any thirty day period. Interpretive trails are nearby. These are single family camping units only. No hook-ups available. Horse camping facilities available across the road from the family campground. Must have horses or mules to camp at the horse facility (Mule Deer Loop).

Directions: This site is located 2 miles north of Payson at the junction of State Hwy. 87 and the Houston Mesa Road/Forest Road (FR 199). Turn east on Houston Mesa Rd. and travel ΒΌ mile to the campground located on the north side of the road. Houston Mesa Horse Campground is located on the south side of the road.
