About: Along the shores of Clay Lake in the southern part of the Ocala National Forest, this primitive camp at the edge of the Alexander Springs Wilderness provides a base for hunters during general gun season.
Fees: Special permit required for hunt camp use.
Closest Towns: Deland (FL), Paisley (FL)
Restrooms: Portalets provided during general gun season.
Directions: From the junction of SR 44 and CR 42 west of the St. Johns River west of Deland, follow CR 42 west past River Forest. Continue 5 miles. Turn right on Deer Haven Rd, an unimproved road, and continue 0.7 mile to the camp.
