Nice campground in a busy area
Eightmile road just outside Leavenworth is a busy recreation corridor for hikers and climbers. We found this campground to be quiet and relatively private despite being full. The people recreating here seemed to be friendly, quiet, and respectful of their neighbors. The sites on the creek are especially beautiful. The downside is, like all Forest Service campgrounds operated by private vendors, the fee for camping is excessive.
