The tent sites vary in size, with the smaller, more intimate sites found adjacent to Cougar Creek.

A day-use accessible picnic site is located near the parking lot.

Lake access is found across County Road 777 from the campground with a trail that leads to Carberry Creek (when the lake is full pool, the trail ends at the lake).

Nearby access to Applegate Lake & OHV trail system.

Directions: Follow Hwy. 238 southwest from Jacksonville for 6.5 miles, turning south on Upper Applegate Road (County Rd. 859) at Ruch. Continue south for approximately 18.5 miles (the last 4 miles are along Applegate Lake) to the jct. with County Road 777. Turn west (right) and travel about .3 miles, Carberry Campground is on the left side of the road.
