Candle Creek Recreation Site
Forest Service / BLM
Number of Sites: 10
At the confluence of Candle Creek and the Metolius River, this campground offers opportunities for fishing and hiking. This is a very popular campground with the locals because of its location. It is at the end of the Metolius Valley and on the river where the rapids start.
Candle Creek is the last campground that you come to on the Metolius River. It is the most isolated of the campgrounds and although it was just upgraded in 2003 it is the least developed campground. It is located 13 miles in from Hwy 20 at the Camp Sherman turn off. You get to it by crossing the river at Lower Bridge and continuing along a mostly gravel road for two more miles.
Fees: Per night, per site fee: $12/first vehicle; $6/each additional vehicle. (2011)

Restrictions Maximum site spur length is 20 feet. RVs and trailers not recommended.
Directions: From Sisters, travel 12.4 miles northwest on Hwy 20, then 12.3 miles north on Forest Road 12, and then 1.6 miles east on Forest Road 1200 980.
