This scenic high desert campground is located on the eastern shore of Haystack Reservoir and surrounded by native vegetation including sage brush and juniper trees. Campground has a host on site.

Fees: Camping per site per night: $13.00 for first vehicle and $6.00 for each additional vehicle. Day Use fee is $5.00 per vehicle. (2011)

Water: Drinking water is available via hand pumps, and there is an RV fill station

Restroom: Vault Toilets

Directions:
From Hwy 97:
- Exit Jericho Lane and head East for approximately 1.25 miles
- Turn Right on Springer Road (FS 7130/ FS 96) then proceed approximately 2.5 miles (you will pass West Shore and South Shore Campgrounds)
- Turn Left onto FS 9605
- Haystack Campground will be on the left and the road will end at the day use area.

From Hwy 26:
- Exit Laurel Lane (FS 96) and head West for approximately 4 miles
- Turn Right onto Springer Road (FS 7130/ FS 96) and proceed approximately 1.5 miles
- Turn Right onto FS 9605
- Haystack Campground will be on the left and the road will end at the day use area.
