16 tent-only campsites high on Mount Hood, near the headwaters of the Salmon River. The Timberline Lodge Winter Sports area is just north of the camgpround, and the Summit Winter Sports area is just south of the campground. Winter sports include skiing, sledding, skating, and snowmobiling. In the summer, visitors enjoy hiking through the high alpine scenery.

Fees: $20/Night for single unit $5/Extra vehicle NOTE: $2 per night extra charge on all holidays and holiday weekends. (2011)

Restrictions: Vehicles 16 ft. max.

Directions: From Sandy, go 28 miles east on US 26, then 4 miles north on Forest Road 173.
