About: The campsites are considered “primitive,” designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. They consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Water can be pumped by hand or by hooking your own generator (2500 watt minimum) up to the well.
Bob Dunn Horse Campground offers 13 campsites with pull-through campsites. There are also picket lines at each campsite manure bunkers, an accessible loading ramp, and a lot of open space.
All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.
There are 17 miles of multi-use trails. Sand Dunes State Forest is closed to off highway vehicle (ATVs).
Directions: From Zimmerman, take Sherburne Co. 4 (W) 6 mi. to 168th St.; turn left (S)and follow signs. Bob Dunn Horse Campground is 0.5 mi. (W) of Ann Lake campground on North Sand Dunes State Forest Rd.
