About: Isinours Management Unit is a 188-acre tract of land located about three miles north of Preston near the South Branch of the Root River.

The trails in this unit are for nonmotorized uses only (hiking/walking and bicycling). There are also two carry-in campsites along the trail. The campsites are considered “primitive,” designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. All sites are on a first come, first served basis. Also in the unit is an interpretive trail exploring forest management techniques being studied and demonstrated. Download the Isinours Management Unit map to follow along.

Directions: Take Fillmore Cty. 17 north from Preston to the Root River Trail. The parking area is on the north side of the trail and west of Highway 17.
