About: The campground is considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. 11 Boat sites.

All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hinsdale Island is a remote and rustic campsite area, one of only a few boat-in only sites on Lake Vermilion.

Directions: From Cook take Co. Rd. 24 (N) to Co. Rd. 78; turn right (E) 3 mi. to Co. Rd. 540; continue east approx. 6 mi. to public access.
