Sportsmans beach is one of three campgrounds located on the west side of Walker Lake. Access is directly off of Highway 95 approximately 55 miles south of Fallon, Nevada. Fees are $6.00 for developed sites and $4.00 for non developed sites. The lake offers a variety of recreational opportunities including swimming, picnicing, boating, fishing, bird watching, water skiing, and camping. Supplies can be purchased at the city of Hawthorne, fifteen miles south of Walker Lake.
