About: Bothe - Napa Valley State Park has a campground with 50 sites designed for family camping. All of these campsites are situated in Ritchey Canyon, yet each campsite is unique in its own way. Campers have the choice of locations near the redwoods along the creek or in the oak woodland on the sunny slopes above the creek. There is one campsite geared specifically for hikers and bikers who did not bring a vehicle, and there are two campsites that are designed to accomodate disabled visitors. Forty sites have parking for cars and recreational vehicles (limited to two vehicles and eight people per site). These sites can accomodate RV's up to 31 feet in length, and trailers up to 24 feet long.There are also nine walk-in campsites for tent camping on a first-come first-served basis (these sites are limited to one car only).

Pretty campground.
We stayed here in June 2011. It is heavily forested with oak trees with some evergreens mixed in giving the spaces lots of shade. A creek flows behind some of the sites. Sites are spaced well giving some privacy between spaces. It is set back a ways from the highway so you don't hear the road noise. Smaller rigs or tents are best as the road is narrow and the spaces a bit short for large rvs or trailers.
Of course this could be a place to stay when visiting the local wineries. $35 a night is a bargain compared to ...
