Location: Grayling Campground is located in the Big Lake Recreation Area. Big Lake is located about 25 miles south of Springerville on State Road 273.
Elevation: 9,040 feet above sea level.

Features and Setting:
Situated in the mixed conifer and aspen, Grayling campground offers perhaps the most secluded sites in the Big Lake complex. Be prepared for rain, often heavy, through July and August. Also expect cool to cold nighttime temperatures.
Fishing, boating, camping, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, bird watching, and wildlife viewing are available close by, as is Mt. Baldy Wilderness Area.

Here is one of the best areas of organized campgrounds we have ever visited. There are so many sites in this area you are sure to find one you’ll love. This fishing paradise has some or the best fly fishing in the west and the hiking and exploring is wonderful. Located in the White Mountains it has elevations from 3500 feet to over 11500 feet.
