This little piece of almost heaven is called the Horse of a Different ColorRanch. It's an old organic horse farm/homestead, in the hills of Calhoun County, West Virginia. It's quiet and private here, with room to roam. The camp is a place of retreat for some, a place to make a joyful noise for others, and a great place to party! We have 60 acres or so of land for rustic tent camping, as well as an electric hookup for a couple RV's, and lots of parking space. There are hiking trails to explore, a cave big enough to camp in, an old fashioned spring-fed swimming hole, a large outdoor kitchen shelter, and a horseshoe pit. Most areas of the campground are "clothing optional". We're located along a dirt road, so it's great bicycle country, and only 2 miles from public fishing in the West Fork River. We're open for camping May 1st thru October.
