The Original Chicken Gold Camp, new in 2001, offers a relaxing retreat in the historic mining community of Chicken. Located away from the highway but within walking distance of the areas attractions (active goldmine, gold dredge, ghost town, saloon, hiking, river recreation, etc). The park amenities include tables and fire rings, water, dumpstation and exceptionally clean restrooms as well as a caf serving homemade entries, an espresso/smoothie bar and gift shop with local crafts. The park is noted for its Alaskan hospitality and cleanliness. From their adjoining gold mine, the hosts supply gold panning and create unique Alaskan jewelry and gifts.
