About: Snug Harbor, located in the California Delta region, features waterfront RV campsites with docks and full hookups. Voted "2001 Best Small Park" by the California Travel Park association for its friendly family-style atmosphere and quiet peaceful setting on Steamboat Slough. Snug Harbor also has waterfront RV cabins for rent on a daily or weekly basis, a boat launch, small store with bait and general supplies, and is modem-friendly. Located close to major northern California destinations of San Francisco, Sacramento, wine country, and located in the heart of the historic Delta Region! Directions:
From Napa: Go East on Hwy. 12 then North on Hwy. 80 and East again on Hwy 12 to Rio Vista. Just before crossing the Rio Vista bridge, turn Right. Go left under bridge. Follow Ferry route directions above. If you are traveling with a large RV, and its low tides, we'd suggest you use the bridge route off Hwy 160 described above instead of the ferry route.

From Marin: Go East on Hwy. 37 to Hwy. 80. Go north on Hwy 80 to Hwy 12. Go East on Hwy 12 to Rio Vista. Just before crossing the Rio Vista bridge, turn Right. Go left under bridge. Follow Ferry route directions above, or bridge route.

From San Francisco: Go north on Hwy 80 to Hwy 12 going EAST. Take Hwy 12 east to Rio Vista. Just before crossing the Rio Vista bridge, turn Right. Go Left under bridge. Follow Ferry route directions above. Alternate: follow bridge route.

Good...but

We do like coming to Snug Harbor, and have for many years. In recent times, though, they have been putting up these little modular cabins (min $400 a night!) in literally all the good camp sites. They also allow a lot of camp site leasing or something, because the majority of the sites left after all the modulars are clearly "owned" by those camping there, ie. semi permanent decks and such. That has left only a handful of campsites for RVs. I made reservations in January and could not get four sites in a row. They ...
