Campground Reviews
Crowded and noisy, but worth it for Yosemite.
All three of the Pines campgrounds are in the same area of the Yosemite valley floor. As you can see in the picture, there is not much privacy between campsites. And there are no sites empty more often than not. Early reservations (five months ahead)are a must for May through October.
This campground is closest to Happy Isles which is the trail head for the popular Mist trail and Half Dome hikes. It is also within walking distance of Curry Village, which has a general store, sporting equipment store, bike rentals, hot food, and showers.
