Pachaug State Forest is the largest State Forest in Connecticut encompassing 24,000 acres, in 5 towns. There are two areas, the Chapman Area and the Green Falls Area.

Green Falls Campground, off Route 138, 3 miles east of Voluntown. 18 wooded sites. Pond fishing, swimming. One pet/site permitted.

Mt. Misery Campground, off route 49, north of Voluntown. 22 wooded sites. Stream fishing, swimming nearby. One pet/site permitted.
