About: For endless unspoiled sand and surf, head for this oceanfront KOA on the Outer Banks. It’s just a few steps from your campsite over the dunes and right to the Atlantic. Walk the beach for miles, hunting for shells, casting for bluefish and scouring the surface for dolphins that often cavort on by. Or head across this sliver of an island it’s just a quarter-mile wide, to Pamlico Sound, where windsurfers and kiteboarders scoot off toward the horizon.
