Take a day trip to Winston-Salem and take a tour of the Reynolds House or visit the town of Old Salem restored to 18th century perfection. Drive to Mt. Airy, the hometown of Andy Griffith and the inspiration for fictional Mayberry. Visit Andy Griffith Playhouse or go shopping at the outlet mall.
