East Lake campground stays popular through the summer and into the fall. Be sure to arrive early as this campground tends to fill by Thursday afternoon for the weekend. East Lake is just beyond Paulina Lake in the Newberry Monument area. It is probably the more popular of the two lakes, but both are great with nearby hikes into the lava rock or to close by waterfalls available. The campsites here are heavily used during the summer and campers would be smart to find a site before Friday. The RV dump station is near the entry of Paulina Lake Campground.
