Chokoloskee Island Park is a friendly, unusually social community that welcomes newcomers at evening happy hours at the park chickee. RVers, tenters, and more permanent residents enjoy weekly bingo, arts and crafts, special dinners, and on-going conversation most often including detailed review of the day's fishing.

It's all about fishing
After 6 years of camping at this park and loving the fishing,crabbing and shelling,the managers decided to do park events (which by the way were planned and paid for by the guests).It backfired and caused tension and a hostile campground.We have to move on.The sites are also small and have become very unkept.Rules are not enforced and there is the constant threat of the washer and dryers being removed.( The owners claim that they are not making enough money)The nearest place to shop,do laundry etc.is 45 min.to 1 hour away.We loved it there because my husband is a avid fisherman
