About: This park, built in 1974, features public boat launch, and sits on the shores of Banks Lake and has historical memorials and signs throughout. This family-friendly park beckons birders in all seasons, featuring migrating loons in spring and fall. Coots, mergansers and goldeneyes frequent the lake, eagles perch in trees and nighthawks and bats fly at dusk. A unique treat at this location: turkey vultures soar over city late in the day.
