About: Rainbow Falls State Park is a 139-acre camping park with 3,400 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Chehalis River. Situated in stands of old-growth forest, the park features a waterfall and a small fuchsia garden.
Directions:
From I-5:
Take exit 77 onto Hwy. 6. Head west in the direction of Raymond for 16 miles.
From Hwy. 101:
Turn east at Raymond onto Hwy. 6 heading toward Pe Ell. It is 35 miles from Raymond to the park.

Great family camping
Rainbow Falls has a great group camp for many campers to gather in with a group kitchen, picnic tables and campfire. The scenery is wonderful for hiking and it has a very scenic river. We miss the bridge that washed out at the entry over the falls but that's nature for you! I have fond memories of taking my daughter there to camp as a little girl. The "falls" were washed away in a flood. There is a detour to gain access as the bridge was washed away also. A "full" hookup here is 27 bucks a night with no sewer and the hook up water is terrible. My site had cigarette butts, paper etc in it and cans in the fire pit. Highway 6 is close and busy, with construction going on and a constant stream of traffic.
