About: Located just a tenth of a mile outside the entrance to Palo Duro Canyon, West Rim RV Park provides spacious pull thrus with views of the Canyon.
Although the winds were too heavy for balloons to float over the Canyon for the Pirates of the Canyon Balloon Liftoff, we enjoyed hiking the trails that run along the Canyon by West Rim RV Park. We found several minature caves and scenic overlooks of the Canyon. At one spot we could see horses running loose along the opposite side.

Directions: Drive 1.2 miles on Hwy 217 after exiting from I27 and turn right to enter RV Park just prior to entrance to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
