On the banks of Lake Kampeska, Sandy Shore offers just that ... a long, sandy beach. The beach is a great place to enjoy Lake Kampeska, which is a glacial lake named for its clear water. Early homesteaders settled along the shores of the lake. Had it not been for an invasion of grasshoppers that destroyed the first crops, Watertown probably would have been built closer to the lake.

A wheelchair accessible picnic shelter is available for reservations. Playground equipment is located nearby, as is the comfort station. The park also features some beachfront picnic tables near swimming beach.

When you're not hanging out on the beach, try your hand at the nine-hole disc golf course.

Swimming/Beaches: Long, sandy beach on this 5,000 acre clear lake. Very close to campsites. No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

Fishing/Boating: Boat ramp. Walleye, Northern pike, perch, bullheads and bass. License required.
