Campground Reviews

Never again.

Nothing nice to say about this place, too much to mention in one review. Doesn't look like the website at all. Site we requested on the lake didn't happen. Owner claimed she could put you wherever she wanted to. Overall looks dirty and neglected. Bathrooms are old and filthy. Pool and mini golf is run down. The slip and slide is a giant canvas, maybe from an old billboard sign that they put dishwashing detergent on for everyone to slide down. Everyone jumps in the pool to wash off when they are done with it. Pool actually looks like it's starting to cave in. Playground is overrun with weeds and garbage. Activities offered are overpriced (crafts, paint ball, paddle boats)Grass not cut, new site area was a swamp! If there are rules, it's not the campers not following them, it's the owners, owner's family and staff that don't abide by them. Few examples, smoking in the buildings, driving fast through the campground. Owner was just down right rude. Chose to leave early and eat the cost of the 3 night stay we paid for.

Nice campground

This is a nice campground with many activities for all. The owners are polite and are making many improvements. Some of the campers that were staying here in the past are leaving because they do not feel that the new rules apply to them. That happens in campgrounds when there are new owners. The owners and staff are polite and are constantly making improvements. The pool is now heated and there is great catch and release fishing in the pond. Weekends are full of events and activities for everyone. This is a very nice and safe place to camp.

Terrible Campground

First, let me say this is a beautiful campground, especially if you camp on the lake sites. This used to be a nice campground where we camped at on holidays. But the new owners should not be in the campground business. The sites have not be leveled in a couple of years. There is no escourt to your site to make sure you can get in (some of them are hard to get in to). There used to be garbage pickup and wood delivery, but not anymore. You have to do that on your own. There are creepy looking staff members working there now. Not to mention if you have a difference of opinion with the owner, she throws you out. I've seen good people thrown out for stupid things...both weekenders and seasonals alike. For the most part the seasonal campers are nice people, but when we camped there last, alot of them were fed up and not going to return.

There are people up at night maikng noise and no one comes around to check on things. There is no security either.

If you want a party campground with no rule enforcement, this is your place.
