Located approximately 6 miles north of Florence, Alder Dune Campground offers tranquility amongst a coastal forest. Many sites are private with beautiful coastal shrubbery surrounding them. Alder Lake borders a portion of the campsites in the northern loop. The Alder Dune Day Use Area is next to Dune Lake at the southern end of the campground. Both lakes are stocked with rainbow trout several times a year. Alder Dune Campground also features a trail system that will lead you through an easy to moderate journey around Alder Lake, over sand dunes, connects to Sutton trail, which will take you out to the beach.
