About: This KOA is just 15 minutes from Carolina Crossroads Music and Entertainment District in Roanoke Rapids-also home to the Roanoke Canal Trail. Rocky Mount offers the Imperial Centre with galleries, a digital planetarium and a children's museum. The Dunn Center for the Performing Arts has a variety of entertainment. Nearby, Scotland Neck hosts the world's largest collection of waterfowl at Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park and Eco-Center, open year-round. Spend a day in Raleigh or at the beach. Tour Historic Halifax and go antiquing. Just 4 miles away is Hickory Meadows, an 18-hole public golf course-no tee times! This is a quiet country campground with no trains. There's even a dog run for pets.

Directions: From I-95 Exit 154 at Enfield. 1/2 mi W on Hwy 481. R on Bell Acres at KOA sign. From Hwy 301 take Hwy 481 W Bypass in Enfield and follow 7 mi (cross over I-95). R on Bell Acres. From Hwy 48 turn E on Hwy 481. Just after bridge, turn L onto Bell Acres.
