Ponil Campgrounds is located in northern New Mexico at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. You can make day trips to Taos, Santa Fe, Angel Fire, Eagles Nest, and Red River for shopping, sight seeing and casinos. In Cimarron you will have art galleries, a 30’s soda fountain, grocery store, medical clinic, dime store and 5 restaurants serving everything from pizza, buffalo burgers, ice cream, home style cooking and fine dining. We offer both RV parking and tent camping. Our park has a ‘out in the country feeling’ with large trees, a creek on the perimeter, deer and wild turkey roaming thru the park.

Directions
From the south, go north on I-25 to exit 419, turn left (west) on Hwy 58, in 19 miles the road will dead end at a stop sign, turn right on Hwy 64 and we will be 1 mile on your left.
From the north come south on I-25 to exit 446 and turn right (west) on US Hwy 64, about 35 miles, we are located on Ponil Creek just past mile marker 311.
From the west drive east on US Hwy 64 from Taos, NM, you’ll travel about 55 miles. Go thru Cimarron and we will be about 1 mile east of town on your left.
