Summit is a 190-acre Natural Resources District lake with 345 acres of land. This area offers fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, trailer dump station and a swimming beach. There are 26 camper pads and an additional 32 non-designated campsites.

The lake offers excellent fishing opportunities for all anglers; the addition of jetties gives bank anglers access to deeper water. Species of fish are bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie and walleye. A group camping area is available by contacting the site. Visitors to Tekamah can visit the Burt County Museum.
